Our calculators give estimates based on the measurements and settings you enter and on common rules of thumb. Real products vary — coverage, density, pack sizes and yields differ between manufacturers — and real rooms are rarely perfectly square. Always check product labels and data sheets, measure carefully, and allow for your own situation before you buy or build.

Not professional advice

The site does not replace a qualified tradesperson, engineer or building control officer. Anything structural, anything involving safety (such as stairs, walls, roofs and foundations) and anything covered by building regulations must be checked against the rules where you live and, where needed, by a professional.
